I have what I hope are rat snakes in the basemnet of my house this spring. A suggestion was to put mothballs throughout the crawl space. I have filled in any holes I feel they may be getting in from. Are mothballs a good suggestion?

Have you removed all of the snakes? I would not recommend putting mothballs in the crawlspace.
