We currently have a furry injured animal in our backyard, appears to be a young opposum whose hind leg was bitten by something. It is moving very slowly around. Should we just leave it? It will probably got "finished off" by the something tonight, or perish naturally. The police department's animal control officer is off duty till Monday and since it is on private property, it is up to us to do whatever. Would anyone in the area wants to rescue/rehabitate a young wildlife?

Sorry about the delayed response. Is the animal still there?
