Ducklings

I found 3 ducklings in my driveway with no mother. When I found them, they were only 1 or 2 days old. They are now 3 weeks old and have begun to get their adult feathers. When can I release them into the wild? Also any suggestions as to where to release them? Since we live on Lake Springfield, my plan was to release them on the lake. Do I release them near my home, where there are other ducks, etc? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. When the zoo and the wildlife rehabilitationist wouldn't take them, I didn't know what else to do with them. Thanks so much.

The ducklings should be released at the edge of the lake near other ducks as soon as possible. An early morning release would be good if you can arrange it.
