There's a baby bunny, about two weeks old in my backyard. It's been there all day after neighbor was watering his vegetable and he ran out of garden. I don't know where the nest is, and I am worried he's not eating, and there has been no grown bunnies around today. I am also afraid something will get it during the night. HELP????? Thank you.

If the rabbit is out of the nest and hopping around on its own, it almost certainly was ready to leave the nest. They only stay in the nest for about 3 weeks. While they look too small to be on their own, they are more than able to find plenty of food. Unless it is obviously injured, it should be left alone.

The baby bunny was forced out of the garden by the neighbors chasing it with the hose. I have seen a grown rabbit go into the garden so I think that is where the nest is. Anyway the baby bunny stopped running when it got to my yard and never moved the rest of the day. We put a trash can next to it to shield it from the hot sun. That's where it stayed. I worry something will get it during the night.
