I am a den leader for a group of nine-ten year old cub scouts. We are studying about wildlife conservation as one of our acheivements. If possible, could you just tell me a little about what you use to do in your job so I can talk about this to my cub scouts at our next den meeting. Or is there somebody else that you can recommnend? Actually here's a summary of Achievement 5 that we are supposed to do: Complete four of the requirements.
Choose a bird or animal that you like and find out how it lives. Make a poster showing what you have learned.
Build or make a bird feeder or birdhouse and hang it in a place where birds can visit safely.
Explain what a wildlife conservation officer does.
Visit one of the following: Zoo, Nature center, Aviary, Wildlife refuge, Game preserve.
Name one animal that has become extinct in the last 100 years. Tell why animals become extinct. Name one animal that is on the endangered species list.
I would really appreaciate it if you can help us.
Thank you.
