To catch a skunk on my property, a nuisance wildlife remover set a kill trap without my permission. I'm wondering if that was legal but haven't found that information yet online. Can you advise?

Did you hire the NWCO? What kind of trap was it?

Thanks for your reply.

I don't know what constitutes membership in NWCO; I hired what I thought was a licensed nuisance wildlife remover. (Uncertain of the licensing now.)

I also don't know how to describe the trap other than that it's a lethal trap. In case it's helpful, I do have a photo.

The NWCOs can legally use a variety of traps. Striped skunks must be euthanized if caught in any trap other than a body griping trap. By law, striped skunks cannot be released.
