A sparrow is building a nest on the wreath on our front door. What I am concerned about is the wreath is small and not very wide. All of the sticks they are trying to use are in a pile outside my front door. I am worried this is not viable. Should I try to move the wreath? Take it down? Its only started a couple of days ago but there is down on the wreath. Its a fake berry wreath. What should I do

Birds can successfully nest in wreaths. Last year I had a pair of house finches nest in a wreath that I didn't get taken down quickly enough. If the nest is already built, let them give it a shot. If they haven't built the nest yet, take the wreath down so that they can find a sturdier building site.
