I would like information on becoming a licensed wild life rehabber so that I may help injured or orphaned squirrels and other Chicago area wild life that may need my help. What are the first steps to take in doing this.

For information on how to become a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, you will need to contact Brian Clark with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Law Enforcement License and Permit Programs. His number is (217) 782-6431. Press 5 for wildlife rehab.
