Missing mallard female

We have a small community pond at the end if our road which has been home to a pair of mallards for several years. In the last 2 weeks the female has disappeared. Is she is sitting on a nest, would she leave to feed or does the male feed her during the incubation period?

She could be on a nest. She'll leave occasionally to feed. So you may see her then.
