Little Brown Bat

Hi. I spotted a Little Brown Bat on a tree, he's hanging onto the bark, 2 feet off the ground. He's been in the same spot for 24hrs, in the same position. Is this normal? I thought he should have moved by now. I don't want any neighborhood kids to disturb him, he seems kinda vulnerable being only 2' up. It's 9pm, he's been there for 24hrs.
