Mallard Ducks In Chicago River

There are about 20 mallards (male and female) just floating in the river between the Randolph and Washington Street bridges. They've been here all week. Sometimes they are active, swimming around and grooming, but I'm beginning to wonder if something is wrong with them. Is this behavior normal?

Sounds like typical duck behavior. Are any of the birds moving erratically (i.e., swimming in ways that don't look "normal")? Do any of them seem to be having problems holding their heads out of the water?
