Identify scat in yard

Live in WA state. Have found very small droppings that are shaped like a watermelon seed, in fact looks like a black watermelon seed. What type of small animal/bird is this? It must be a small rodent, or something, leaves no tracks. My dog seems to find them all over the yard. Thank you.
