Track ID

I have a friend who lives in Newark, IL and she requested help identifying some tracks in her yard. Unfortunately they are a few days old and dried in mud. They are fairly large and I'm kind of wondering if it may have been a cougar. I find it highly unlikely but I guess anything is possible. Its really hard to tell by the pictures I have.
