Baby birds

We have found 2 baby birds on our patio after a storm. We have looked in all our nearby trees for a nest and have not found one. No parents have been back all day. We put them in a milk crate cut in half and hung it in the nearest tree. These birds barely have feathers and their eyes are still closed. I really don't want them to die so any help would be appreciated

Did the parents find them?
