Hello, I have a tree in my yard that snapped and fell down today. In the grass under the branches I found what I believe to be 3 baby woodpeckers. I haven't seen the parents all day, so I have put them in a box and been feeding them every two hours. Can you help me ID the birds and give some advice on what to do with them. I live in the northeast corner of IL.

Thanks, Dan Szekely

The best bet is to get them to a wildlife rehabber. You can find ones in your area at:http://web.extension.illinois.edu/wildlife/professionals.cfm

Good luck!
