Possum

On Sunday, June 22, 2014, we noticed a possum huddled between the house and the rain gutter. The animal is able to move it's front paws and seems alert when we speak to her (we believe it is a female). She is lying on her side. We have been checking on her and she has not left this spot. Not sure if she is injured. I have called the Flintcreek Rehab and left several message with no return call; Trailside Museum, Forest Park and they referred me to this website; I left a message for a licensed rehabber on the Il Dep of Natl Res Website in Elk Grove Village with no return call. I feel very baddly if this animal is in need of help and I cannot get any. What do you suggest. I know most do not care since it is "just a possum". I however do not feel that way since it is a living breathing animal.

I appreciate any assistance I can get.

Thank You and God Bless Phyllis Evans 630-766-6100 (work 9A -4P (CST)

I'm a firm believer in there's no such thing as "just a possum". Thank you for your diligence in trying to get the opossum some help. Did any of the rehabbers get back to you?
