Fox in culvert

We have a small fox that goes in our culvert at the end of our driveway. My question is should we screen off the culvert to prevent this. We don't mind that she's there, but are worried because it's right next to the road and we're afraid she'll have babies there this winter and it's not really a safe spot with the road.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thank you.

Has the fox shown up just recently? It could be a young fox that has just left its family.

Regardless of its age, don't block the culvert. Breeding season for foxes is done for the year. So you don't need to worry about that. And foxes are pretty good at dealing with crossing roads. If the fox isn't causing you any problems, let it use the culvert while it wants to.
