Is lake sturgeon a rare species in Illinois, where can you find them and what is there population in Illinois?

Yes, lake sturgeon are rare in IL. In fact, they are on the endangered species list in IL. Here's more info. about that species: http://dnr.state.il.us/orep/ets/Details.asp Any lake sturgeon that are caught while fishing should be released immediately.
