aggresive robin

aggresive robin is pecking on our roof. it starts by 6 am. He/she is banging into our front door and leaving droppings.

Is there glass in the front door? Sometimes a Robin will see its own reflection in the glass and will "attack" the reflection thinking that it is driving away another Robin from its territory. Some get so aggressive about this that they hurt themselves.
