Dead adult red tail hawk

We live in southwest Champaign and our neighbor found a dead adult red tail hawk today. We weren't sure what to do with it and if we needed to report it. It doesn't appear to have been shot or injured that we can tell. Our other neighbor indicated a couple of weeks ago that she had a nest in one of her trees. Your advice would be appreciated.

The hawk can either be buried or placed in the trash for disposal. It isn't legal to keep any part of the bird, including feathers. Let me know if you have more questions.
