Hi Sara, I love wildlife and teaching people about wildlife, so my job at University of Illinois Extension was a perfect fit. I'd recommend that you take as many math, chemistry, biology, and statistics classes as you can, both in high school and in college. These days, being bilingual is a big plus too. If you want a decent paying job as a zoologist or wildlife biologist, you're likely going to need a Master's degree at the very least. A PhD will open a lot more doors and opportunities for exciting work. The next thing I'd recommend is to try and get summer internships working with wildlife biologists out in the field.
