I rescued this squirrel when it was relatively young it had fallen from a tree and appeared to have a hurt leg we kept it for a few days and it decided it liked us and wouldn't leave and I've been worrying about what to feed it I feed it mostly pecans and some other nuts when I can get my hands on them and sometimes fruits like Apple's and oranges and sometimes lettuce or tomatoes bit it has a small piece of hair missing under its chin and it lives in my room so I don't think it's mites could it have something to do with its diet?

It is hard to provide a diet to a captive squirrel as rich as the diet it can provide for itself in the wild. Has the leg healed? If so, it would be best to let the squirrel go. If not, check to make sure it is legal in TX to keep the squirrel and then contact a veterinarian to see about fixing the leg and for tips on the best diet to feed it.
