Recently a littlefox or coyote has been hanging around homes here in Westchester. Today I saw it on the neighbor's deck. It is very thin and was scratching and scratching constantly plus it has a bloody bigger-than-a-quarter sized wound on its rump. When I go closer to take a 5412picture, it just looked at me inquisitively before I made a deep sound to scare it off. Its fur is kind of fuzzy and it had a look of innocence, like a lost baby animal. It needs medical attention. Can you help me find someone to trap it and take it to a rehabilitator for help? I doubt it will survive our brutal winters otherwise.

It sounds like the fox may have mange. They do not usually survive a case of mange.
