A question came up on Facebook. Can crows be kept as a pet in IL? i thought the answer was no, but i couldn't find documentation to back me up.

No, in Illinois crows are protected by federal and state laws. In order to keep a crow as a pet, the person would have to have a permit from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. They are not likely to issue such a permit except in rare cases.
