We live in the middle of a small acreage timber. On 1/26/11, at 3 a.m., our indoor dogs were terrified by what they heard outside, and woke us, barking/shrieking in fear. The next morning we found an adult female coyote dead, about 30 yards from our house. Her throat was "cut". From my research it appears that coyotes have few predators. What do you think killed this coyote?

She was probably killed by either a large dog or another coyote.
