I asked this question about foxes. I'd like to ask the same question about wolves: Does the standard advice to not run, wave arms, yell, etc. for defense against wolves, apply to rabid wolves as well?

The likelihood of encountering a wolf in Illinois is extremely unlikely. Since 2000, there have only been 5 documented wolves in the wild in Illinois.
